This tour shows you the visit of tree cities: Vientiane, the Capital; Vangvieng the picturesque and exciting city and Luangprabang the world heritage city. Vientiane, the Capital of Laos, located along the Mekong River, the border between Laos and Thailand. It is the tranquil city, visit its old temples dated 16th century Wat Sisaket, Museum Ho Prakeo, National Monument That Luang and Arc de Triomphe patuxai, the French clolonial houses, and the central of business. Luangprabang is the world heritage city listed by UNESCO in 1995. Visit the oldest temples dated 16th century, National Museum, the cruise on the Mekong to Buddhist caves of Pak Ou, the beautiful kuangsi waterfall and do not miss the visit of the alms giving to the monks.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL VIENTIANE
Upon arrival at Wattay Airport. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. We then start our tour of the city visiting the major sights of the capital including Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple which was built in 1818 and houses thousands of Buddha statues and the Ho Prakeo museum, the former royal temple that was previously home to the famous Emerald Buddha, which is now residing in Bangkok.Then we’re off to That Luang, the golden Buddhist Stupa is the most famous landmark in Vientiane. It was constructed in 1566 by King Setthatirat and restored in 1935. It is generally regarded as the most important national monument in Laos and a national symbol. Afterwards we’ll head to Patouxai “the victory gate”. Constructed in 1958 its architecture is inspired by the Arc de Triumph in Paris, from the top on a clear day you’ll get a great view of Vientiane City. Overnight stay will in Vientiane.
DAY 2: VIENTIANE – VANG VIENG (B)
Today we travel by road 150 kms to Vang Vieng on the way stopping at the archeological site of Vang Xang. The ruins of this Mon temple are situated 66kms from Vientiane.Vang Xang was built in the 11th Century when Buddhist Mon and Hindu Khmer ruled South East Asia. Five Buddhists Statues remain. Allegedly they stood on an ancient elephant cemetery. We will then continue our journey to Vang Vieng, a tourism orientated town surrounded by spectacular limestone karst terrain and the stunning Nam Xong River. Activities abound here including tubing, kayaking, and rock climbing and hiking. There are also numerous caves and caverns to explore. Upon arrival in Vang Vieng we’ll proceed to our hotel and then set off to visit the caves of Tham Jang and Tham Xang. Tham Jang cave, the most famous of Vang Vieng’s caves was used as a bunker in defense against the marauding Jiin Haw (Yunnanese Chinese) in the early 19th century. From the main cavern entrance you’ll get magnificent views over Vang Vieng and the river valley and at the base of the cave it’s possible to swim 80m into the cave or just cool off in its refreshing rock pool. Tham Xang (The elephant cave) is a small cave containing a few Buddha images and a Buddha “footprint”. The elephant shaped stalactite gives the cave its name. After our visit you will have the afternoon free to enjoy the spectactular sunset by longboat, hiking or biking or just relaxing in one of the many bars lining the river at your own expense. Overnight stay Vang Vieng.
DAY 3: VANG VIENG – LUANG PRABANG (B)
After breakfast start our drive to Luang Prabang. The beautiful scenery of the mountains with a mixture of steep terraced fields and hill tribe villages make for an interesting journey. Luang Prabang is perhaps the best preserved traditional city in South East Asia.The tranquilty and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos. After settling into our hotel , we visit the impressive Stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham,home to the towns most important spirit shrine which resides at the base of two large banyan trees. It served as the residence of Sangkahalat, the Supreme Patriarch of Buddism. We then climb to the top of Phousi hill for sweeping sunset views of the city and surrounding hills. We will also see the sacred Guilded Stupa and a breathtaking view of the Mekong River. Afterwards we will have time to visit the night market. Overnight Luang Prabang.
DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG – PAK OU (B)
After breakfast we enjoy a short guided tour of the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, as well as being the oldest temple in Luang Prabang its also one of the most beautiful. Its ordination hall was constructed in 1560 under the reign of King Setthathirath. The sweeping roofs of the ordination hall define the typical Luang Prabang architectural style. We then board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River which gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside. We’ll also visit the magnificent Pak Ou Caves,crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues. Along the way we stop at the village of Ban Xang Hai (the jar-maker village) which was the traditional industry of the village in the past.These days the villagers source the jars from elsewhere and fill them with Lao Lao (rice whiskey) that they brew here.You can sample this fire water if you like ! On return, we take a short drive to Ban Phanom.Here we can watch the local village women hand weaving in traditional style. Then its back for an overnight stay in Luang Prabang.
DAY 5: LUANG PRABANG – KUANGSI WATERFALL (B)
After breakfast we’ll visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the early kings right through to the last sovereign. We then travel 32kms out of town to visit Kuangsi Waterfall and tribal villages surrounding including the Hmong village at Ban Omh, Lao Loum village at Ban Ou and the Khmu village at Ban Tapen. This beautiful multi-tiered waterfall has two crystal clear natural pools, one halfway up and one at the bottom inviting us to swim.We have plenty of time to take a walk in the forested surroundings and make sure to see Phet, the orphaned tiger and the young bears living just by the entrance gate. Return to our hotel for overnight in Luang Prabang
DAY 6: LUANG PRABANG – DEPARTURE (B)
After breakfast you’ll have some free time before your transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
