Ethiopian Historic Route is one of the attractions of Ethiopia which contains great treasures. It encompasses the history of Ethiopia from its early beginnings to modern day. A history that went back to the time of prehistoric man; to the 3,000 year old history of Axum; the famous 12th century rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, the medieval castles of Gondar, which is known as Africa’s Camelot, the monasteries of Lake Tana, the Blue Nile Falls are some of the attractions which will be visited.

Duration: 6 days / 5 nights
Day 1: Arrival to Addis Ababa, transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Fly to Bahir Dar, on arrival boat trip on Lake Tana to visit the Island Monasteries. In the after noon, drive to the Blue Nile Falls
Day 3: Drive to Gondar; visit the city with its interesting 17th century castles and churches. Overnight in hotel
Day 4: Flight to Lalibela, center of Christian religion, considered with its 11 rock hewn churches, the Jerusalem of Ethiopia. Visit of the churches. Over night in a hotel
Day 5: Flight to Axum, Archaeological, cultural and religious center of Ethiopia, after transfer to hotel we will visit the city, the first capital of Ethiopia.
Day 6: AM Fly back to Addis and PM, departure back to home.
