Vacation Activities Highlight
The Royal trek is one of those short and easy treks that can be called a relatively ‘soft hike’ and can be enjoyed by all age groups. For kids, It would be good to tag them along if they are 10 years & above. They would just love the adventure. It is called the Royal trek after the Prince of Wales who first trekked this picturesque region. It is also well known as the Annapurna Skyline trek. Charles, the Prince of Wales later remarked at a press brief that this was the best walk he ever had in his life. The journey of Royal trek begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara and passes through beautiful Gurung hamlets. During the trek, we will able to enjoy stunning views of the eloquently built hillside rice terraces, the magnificent Annapurna range, Machapuchhre [fishtail] and the Langtang Mountain views. The trip finally ends at the scenic Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City. The Royal trekking trip is basically recommended for beginners who are restricted by time to trek longer. This Royal trek presents a true picture of uniqueness and allowing us the chance to capture traditional lifestyles of the tribes whose ancient religious practices and traditions have remained unchanged for thousands of years. Compared to other trekking areas in Annapurna region, Royal trekking route is less crowded, so you can get more close to nature, culture and lifestyle.

Day 2 Sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu is the cultural heart of Nepal and has been a famous destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its borders to visitors. The city displays an interesting combination of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, the two important neighboring cities bear much cultural and religious significance to Nepal’s landscape. There will be a half day guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu shrine of Pashupatinath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal Boudhanath, the 15th century Palace of 55 windows and Swoyambhunath. Overnight at your hotel

Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m.)

this takes about six hours. You depart early morning at 7 o’clock for the six hours drive by tourist deluxe bus to Pokhara (915m,), 200 kilometers west of Kathmandu. As you climb out of the Kathmandu valley, only to quickly descend again to the Trisuli River, you follow upstream to its junction with the Marsyangdi River. You follow the Marsyangdi gently up through heavily terraced fields and small hill towns to the Seti River that takes you directly into Pokhara. Blessed with pleasant weather, Pokhara is tourist's paradise with full of natural as well as cultural heritage sites such as lakes, caves, temples of Buddhist and Hindus along with snowcapped mountains. You can observe views to the north across the hills and Phewa Tal (lake) to the white peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Day 4 Drive from Pokhara to Bijayapur Khola (Bijayapur Army Camp) which takes about 40 minutes and trek from Bijaypur Khola to Kalikasthan (1370m.)

This takes about three hours. A broad trail begins through rice fields near the Army Camp, and then ascends through Rakhigaon to a Chautara, a resting place under a large pipal tree. On the way, you can enjoy the views that are a delight to the eyes. The trail now climbs gently along a ridge top through the Brahmin and Chhetri villages towards Kalikasthan (1370m.). At the end, you will need to climb for a short distance to the campsite which is situated above the village with panoramic views of glistening mountains, Begnas Tal {lake} and Pokhara city. Overnight in camps

Day 5 Trek from Kalikasthan (1370m.) to Lipeyani (990m.)

This would take approx five and half hours. The trails follow along the forested ridge top through a rugged motor able road passing through Thulokot and Majhthana (1220m.). Your trail then begins to climb gently for some distance and winds through Naudanda. Towards the end, you can descend gently towards Lipeyani. From hereabouts, you will witness amazing views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna ranges, Lamjung Himal and Manasalu.

this takes approximately six hours. The trails cut through a motor able road for some distance and start to climb gently for some time.
