Mekong River is the lifeblood of Laos’s people for navigation, food, irrigation. It flows from the north to the south of Laos and it is also the boder between Laos and Thailand. The cruise on the Mekong river can be done around of the year but the departure is not every day (please contact us for details). Luang Say boat is one of the luxury boat for the cruise 3 days 2 nights joining group from Houixai to Luangprabang , exploring the beautiful nature along sides of the river, visit the Tribes villages , meet the fishmen , the farmers on work . The next day we continue to Khmu Lodge, here we arrange for you to get experiences by participating with the activities of the villagers such as: fishing, rice plantation or harvesting, trekking in the jungle, gold panning etc. . Before arriving Luangprabang, we have time to visit the famous Buddhist caves of Pak Ou, the rice wine and textile village village.

Day 1: Houixai - Pakbeng (L, D)
Arrival Houixai immigration, meet our guide. After the formality, you are transferred to the pier. Luang Say boat leaves the pier at AM 09.00 for cruising down the Mekong River to Luang Say Lodge in Pakbeng. One stop is made along the way to visit the rural village Ban Houi Phalam, Khmu village. Buffet lunch is served on board. The boat arrives at Luang Say Lodge before the sunset. Dinner and night stay at Luang Say Lodge.
Day 2: Pakbeng - Khmu Lodge (B, L, D)
Breakfast will at Terrace of the Lodge. The boat leaves at 08 00 AM, the first stop at Ban Baw Village to observe the process of making traditional rice alcohol. Buffet lunch is served on board. The boat arrives Khmu Lodge at PM 2.00. Check in and then the time for you to participate to the activities such as: visit Khmu village, archery contest, rice planting, traditional fishing. Dinner and overnight will in Khmu Lodge.
Day 3: Khmu Lodge – Luang Prabang (B, L)
Breakfast will at restaurant. The boat leaves at 08.00 AM and stops opposite the mouth of Nam Ou River to visit the Buddhist Pak Ou caves. The boat arrives Luangprabang before Lunch. Upon arrival you will meet our local guide and transfer to local restaurant for lunch and then to Hotel for check in.
Day 4: Depart.
After breakfast, free for your own arrangement.
