You have two glorious days at leisure to enjoy Mykonos. The island has 9,320 inhabitants most of whom live in the principal town, also called Mykonos but known as Chora, which means ‘the town’ in Greek. Chora is often used in Greece when the name of the island itself is the same as the name of the principal town. Mykonos is composed primarily of granite and has little natural fresh water, relying on the desalination of sea water in order to meet its needs. It is believed that the island was named after a local hero who is considered an offspring of the god Apollo and was worshipped locally in antiquity. You have time to enjoy a cocktail in a waterfront restaurant and to take a swim at one of the dazzling beaches surrounding the island. If it is more sightseeing you are looking for a suggestion is to take an excursion to Delos. This charming island has many tales to tell from Greek mythology and is the birthplace of Artemis and Apollo. (Buffet Breakfast)

Santorini is essentially what remains of an enormous volcanic explosion, destroying the earliest settlements on what was formerly a single island.
