To the west, it is separated from Middle Caicos by Lorimer Creek, a narrow passage that can accommodate only small boats. The size of the district, which also includes some unpopulated islands like Cotton Cay (1.1252 km) nearby, is 9.1 km. Pine Cay Pine Cay is an island of about 30 people population in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is privately owned by the Meridian Club and rents the area to its employees and customers. Pine Cay was the site of the first tourist development on the Turks and Caicos. It was planned in the 1950s but was established in the 1970s.
