Ordesa National Park

Ordesa National Park The best entry point for Ordesa is Torla - see 'getting there.' There is no access for private cars, except in the winter, but a coach runs up every 20 minutes from the large car park There is a limit to the number allowed in at any one time but this is certainly not a problem outside the main holiday season. You can get off the coach at the Exhibition Centre [well worth while] and continue in another coach to the Ordesa coach park on the same ticket. here there is an information centre for walks, a cafeteria and toilets. Walks are of all standards. Those who are not into steep slopes may well enjoy the walk from Ordesa back down to Torla by a very attractive footpath - only the last bit from the river being uphill...

Formentera Island

Formentera Island Formentera is maybe not as popular with tourists as Mallorca or Ibiza, but the island does have its fair share of idyllic beaches and with their crystal clear waters and fine sands they are great for a relaxing holiday. San Francesc is the capital of Formentera. It is a lively place and is worth a visit especially in the morning when a craft fair is held in the centre. Els Pujois is the leading tourist centre where the majority of Formenteras hotels, restaurants and bars are located. La Savina is the islands main port which although quite small, holds passenger ships, fishing boats and luxury yachts. The town itself is also small though its services include a number of restaurants, shops and holiday accommoda...

San Sebastian is an important beach resort, but that's not all that there's to the city. The cosmopolitanism of the modern town with its large avenues and elegant tree-lined boulevards and picturesque old quarter are two important attractions. Don't miss the fishing port where excellent typical restaurants compete for business and serve excellent Pintxos, the local Tapas.
