Zorgol khairkhan This is a sacred mountain, found in the area of Bayan Unjuul soum of Tov aimag/province, about 150 km from Ulaanbaatar. The peak is 1686 m ASL. Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain is venerated and revered by the local people, who believe that it is the siege of a great, benevolent spirit. Many lines and stanzas were dedicated to this mountain in the famous poems of the modern poet B. Lkhagvasuren. The huge, red granite mountain does indeed have a diverse and beautiful nature to offer. Terelj Terelj is a wonderful area to visit and relax. In the area thier is the UB II Hotel and also Ger camps to stay for the day or longer. Activities such as hiking, horse and camel rides are also available. Terelj, about 80km north-east of Ulaanbaatar, is a deservedly popular destination. At 1600m, the area is cool and the alpine scenery is magnificent, and there are great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, swimming (in icy water), rafting, horse riding and, for hard-core extreme sports fanatics, skiing in the depths of winter. Manzshir Khiid Monastery

 
Manzshir Khiid Monastery Only 5 km on foot to the north-east of Zuunmod, and 46km from Ulaanbaator, is Manzshir Khiid. Manzshir Monastery is located in the luxuriant valley of the Bogd Khan Mountain National Park in Tuv aimag, and one hour drive from Ulaanbaator. It was established in 1733 with 20 temples and 300 monks. Destroyed in 1932, the only remaining temple has been restored and a museum at the site tells the story of the monastery. The main temple has been recently restored and converted into a museum, but the other buildings in the area remain in ruins.
